would it be possible to drop in a 3.0 Duratec engine in a Focus ZX3. I found one with a manual and would like to know if it has been bone before, and what parts are needed

There are at least two examples that can be found of installing the SVT V6 in a Focus. If you do a search, I'm sure that you can find the posts with the photos. One of them was done by SVT.

If the 2.5 SVT engine will fit, then the 3.0 will too. It is a very tight fit. You will probably need a V6 manual trans to go with it, as the bell housing is different on the I4.

the one that i found had a manual already attached, but the engine needs a rebuild. It's not that big of a job to do.

Like Jim said - The I4 and the V6 use Different bell housings.

You would still need a V6 MTX-75

...or are you saying you found a 3L Duratec mated to a MTX already?

If so - What is it out of???
