I have the S-AFC on my car and I got the E-manage because it will help with my SVT engine switch over. Will I have any trouble using both simultaneously? I really just want the S-AFC for looks and montioring so tuning is not important on that any more. Will I run into any issues if I have both hooked up at the same time.
1999 V6 MTX Black Cougar
Jacobs ignition system, Borla dual exhaust, Sho shop y pipe and hi flow cat, gutted precats with MIL eliminators, IAT rewire, vitek ignition wires, SCA CAI with monster flow filter, Unorthodox racing pulley, BAT rear strut brace, Battery relocation to trunk, eibachs, KVR crossdrilled/slotted rotors, freedom design strut brace and Tuned S-AFC
Waiting to be installed: svt engine with 11k miles on it/ fidanza flywheel/Quaife/energy suspension engine mount inserts.

AFC for looks, and not tuning? What is the point? To have a little gizmo on your dash that shows RPM and A/F? You could have spent $80 on 2 Auto Meter gauges instead..
As far as problems go with both running, just disconnect the siganal wires from the S-AFC and you should not have a problem.

Well I have it installed and already have it mounted in the dash. So unless I get another console there will be trouble getting the ash tray back in. I will be getting gauges and a pillar pod as soon as the pillar pods become available for the cougar.

Oh yeah, I remember seeing pics of your S-AFC install - I love where you put it. Like Gator said, just disconnect the MAF wires from the S-AFC and you can use it as a digital tach, for example. I'd take the S-AFC out of the MAF loop to keep extra load/resistance/whatever out of the MAF circuit that is unneeded with the eManage.

Sounds like a plan. I'll do that.
