I'm going to post my impressions in a new thread 'cause I don't want to keep rereading about the irritating stuff. Anyway, First impression... I can take off well and hook up, but then when I hit 5000rpm, the tires break loose about half the time. The front tires are brand new, so thats the best traction I can get right now. It's still really cool! The engine seems smoother throughout the whole rpm range. I have only driven it once since I put them in today, but I will take her out tonight for a few runs. There is a funny noise in the exhaust when I accelerate hard, like little tinny sounding pops. Is this the raspy noise that people talk about? Anyway, the next step is the 70mm TB when it comes in. Then I'll see if Brad's talk about how hard it pulls applies to me also. warmonger

The tinny poppy sound is the headers "curing" is the best way I can explain it. It goes away, same deal on my buddies 280z w/ SS headers. Are yours Jet-hotted, sir?

I don't know what they are coated with, but it is some kind of ceramic. At least what it 'was' coated with before I scraped them all up installing them. warmonger

Hey, I just opened up my 3 liter this weekend too with 2" duals... All I can say is WOWzers!!! I knew the SE exhaust was choking it off, but I didn't know by that much!!! I'll have to get a chip just to keep from slamming into the rev limiter... BTW, when in second with 235/40/17 Kumhos, at 5,700 RPM, a quick stab will get a nice little squeal from the tires. Grab 3rd after running it up and it does a nice little squawk!

Yup, I'll be there. Actually, the sound is the most disappointing part at the moment. I tried it without resonators this time around to make sure I'd like them at all before spending the extra money. It's got the right tone, just to loud and rice sounding. Resonators on over-night from Summit right now...
