Hey guys, just want to make sure we're talking about the same thing. Is the windage tray that some have referred to the same as the baffle pan which the shop manual calls it??? I noticed that with the 3L baffle pan, it has several more bolts sticking through than the 2.5L. I hadn't removed it as of last night but of course the mounting bolt for the pick up tube is in a different location and I'm wondering whether there will be a place in the 3L block for that cap screw to go in to for the 2.5L pick up tube.

Also, my pan is a little bent up from chucking the rod. Will this be critical to performance??? Should I think about replacing it??? It's not in that bad of shape but I don't want to take any chances.

Thanks.

I'd buy and use another 2.5 windage tray/baffle. Since you must use the 2.5 pan, it would be best to keep the oil pick up and baffle designed for it.
