Well, I have decided NEVER to go back to Lunde Lincoln/Mercury, Fargo, ND. I decided that I wanted a wooden shifter knob for my car, as I have seen then in the 1998+ LS'. So, I go to Lunde, ask the parts guy, and he says that they NEVER offered a wooden shifter knob for AUTOMATIC trannys. I knew there was a 1999 Mystique LS on the lot, so I said that Id show him what I was talking about, he said it was aftermarket. OK, be wrong. So, I drove to Valley Ford just across the street (all the car dealers are in one area in the city smile )I went to Valley Ford and asked the guy, "Oh yeah, sure! We've got that!" had it installed and 15 minutes later I had a nice wooden knob. Well, I decided to be a jerk, and I went back to Lunde, asked the SAME guy, still he said that they never had that. I said, well, OK, just to be sure why dont you call Valley Ford and check with them. He didnt want to at first, but he did. Boy did his face turn white when he got an answer! Then he got off the phone, and told me they had them, and said I could go right over and get one. I said, I just did laugh and walked out smiling :p ....aint I a stinker?

Man, readin your post brings back memories. Years ago I had a catalytic convertor breakdown on a Fiesta. I took it to a repair place in New Town, ND. They fixed the problem (I won't say what they did, but since there was no unleaded fuel available in New Town at that time, it wasn't strictly by the books) but when I picked up my little car, they had cleaned it on the outside and Armor alled the inside. It looked so good! I never fogot that repair job. That was long ago in my oilfield days... Thanks for posting, NoDak! wink

Wow a fellow ND'ite!! I knew when I read your title you were talkig about Lunde in Fargo. I bought my car the last year at school at NDSU and not from them but I had to have it serviced and they were HORRIBLE! I went to Valley eveytime afterwards and they rule, very nice service dept. I even had the manager of Lunder call to ask about my service and it felt good to vent! Enjoy you new mod!
