I had my engine go out this weekend. Right hands sweeper = oil starvation. I dropped it off at the dealership but was unsure what the powertrain warranty is on the contours. I have a 98.5 SVT with 41K on it. Anybody have any idea if I'm cover or screwed. Thanks for any help.

After 36k miles, unless you bought an extended service plan, there's not any warranty left except possibly exterior paint and emissions. Doesn't look good.

At 41,000 miles you should not be bashful about asking for factory assistance. Make sure that you talk with the service manager, if needed, not just the service advisor. With a little bit of luck, Ford may pick up most (but not all) of the repair.

I have to agree this is a little less than satisfactory on a 3.5 year old car.
