You didn't fail, you just learned how not to do it. You only fail, when you quit TB

I ran a 14.7 @ 95 with about a 60-70hp shot, tho it was wet. It was very hot & humid that day, ran 16.0s off the bottle. I had mine on a button. Once it hooked up, I'd hit it. I'd bring the gogo juice on at 3400ish.

what kind of tires are you using??? i dunno if thos are drag radials or not...
drag radials work very well in the 17-20 PSI of pressure range. common DOT street tires should stay at regular pressure!!! lowering the PSI doesnt allow for them to make full contact. this means *taa daa* less traction.

the 60' times I would expect to be ALOT better... I have gotten a 2.539 and a few others in the 2.5 range and a number of 2.6's in my Zetec.

My best 60' (2.20) came with the KDW's at normal operating pressure. Around 35 psi. The KDW's like a little burnout as well to get them nice and sticky Not sure about the tires you've got. Just experiment a little and find out what works for you. Hope you break the 14's soon.

Next runs will be with a 75 shot and tire pressure at 25 Lbs. Bridgestone Pole Position S-03's 215/45-17.
I learned a bit this weekend about staging and launching. I also got to experiment with a practice tree. The car is capable of 14.xx. I just need to get a few runs behind me.
Thanks all for the comments.

Run a normal pressure in front & 40psi or more in the rears.
I run at 36/40 at the track. Slip the clutch from around 2500-2800 rpm and go from there. Originally posted by DonSVO: what kind of tires are you using??? i dunno if thos are drag radials or not...

All running low pressure is going to do is slow you down. The S-03's aren't drag tires and there is no reason to run them low (25 psi is low IMHO but I don't know anything about tires on 17s). Same theory as fuel economy - lower pressure means more rolling resistance means lower economy/slower 1/4 mile times.
