60ft: 2.35
330: 6.33
1/8: 9.60 @ 75.4
1000: 12.39
1/4: 14.75 @ 95.5mph
Spin in 1st & 2nd.

70's, ~80% humidity, high barometer.

3 others decent runs - 14.83, 14.85, 14.90 @ 95mph
All with 2.4x 60' times though!
Very bad wheel spin in 1st & 2nd.

Nearly 2mph gain from last fall when I ran under much better conditions!
Last fall my runs had consistent 2.2x 60' times though... Need those back!!! laugh

3 basically throw away runs.
Though one a decent 15.0 @ 94.6
2.6x 60' time

I started rolling back at the line (the outside lane - POS track!)
So I let the clutch out a little... ...too much

Rolled through the light
Paused for a moment and just punched it.

Needless to say he left on me badly! (A common occurance of the evening :p Though atleast my RT's were decent (.595 - .632) )
Half track I had him.
Put 2 tenths and 2 mph on him by the end. (his 15.2 @ 92)

I'm also having problems with the clutch grabbing after shifting.

It slips badly on "hard" shifting (high rpms) from 1 - 2 & 2 - 3 frown

No slippage in 4th or 5th at low rpms on a hill like a normal bad clutch would show however???

I thought up 2 more thing to try as well. (Besides long cool down periods & NO back to back runs!)

I also really need to get to a dyno. I set the Apexi to +25% tonight and I still threw lean codes under WOT. I've narrowed it down to the mid range atleast. (3500-5000rpm) I'll have it out yet... laugh

Lean code under WOT? Correct me if I'm wrong, but a lean code gets thrown when the sum of Short Term Fuel Trim and Long Term Fuel Trim is greater than +30% under closed loop conditions (i.e. reached the limit of adding fuel trim to what it thinks is a lean running engine).

What are your Low and High Throttle points set to (as a % of TPS)? Know anyone with a good OBD-II scanner that can pull the freeze frame? (Alex's software does, under the "Freeze" tab. Grab that before you clear the code if you can.) That way, you'll know exactly what was happening when the code was thrown (MAF, TPS, ST and LT Fuel Trim, O2 values, RPM, MPH, ECT, SPKADV, etc.).

We both need to get to a dyno for two reasons: We were running neck and neck on hp last time we dyno'ed and have done significant mods since then, and we both need to get our A/F tuned. I'll take it on ft-lbs and you'll take it on driver skill. Pretty heavy compliment to your work if you're in a hp arms race with a guy that has 500cc more on otherwise the same basic engine configuration.

I don't recommend that at all. That Contour tranny must be very fragile. PhatSVT(Sam) broke something in his tranny while doing a burnout on his 1st pass. He got flatbedded home.

As for Greg running a 14.5, he will. The weather just needs to get a little cooler and drier.

Yeah I don't recommend slicks. I used the Nittos last night and during the burn out I destroyed something and had to be pushed off the staging lanes. At Ford right now finding out what it was.

I should have taken pics of DemonSVT launching. I swear he is RWD cause he carries the front end a good foot off the ground through first and second gear. Good Job on your runs bud.

Greg-

What were you launching at? I think I was getting too greedy on my launches. I was leaving at around 3500rpms which is about 190fwtq.

Hell ya Greg! This sounds like my last trip to the strip(weather wise). Our runs are very similiar, both some nasty spin in first and second, and very similiar times. Here's my best:
60' 2.367
330 6.378
1/8 9.630
mph 75.06
1000 12.421
1/4 14.793
mph 94.88
Keep up the good work, and I'm sure you'll demolish those times!

I was launching around 2500rpm to maybe 3000rpm. Still couldn't stop the wheel spin.
The 3000rpm launch was the glorious 16 @ 78 run where I badly spun 1st, missed 2nd, spun 3rd, and missed 4th, said screw it and coasted through in 5th.

Last year I'd slip from ~3000rpm and hook up fine.
I did take a good deal of weight off the front end so that is surely playing a part. The increase in handling is worth that trade off though. laugh
