You will be better off going to either Ubly or Norwalk which are around 1-1/2 hours away from detroit. Since you went to Milan, you need to talk to svt2000(marc) regarding to how to launch at that track. He does have a contour that ran 14s at milan and he did pull 2.1 60' there. If I remember correctly, his front tire pressure is at 25 psi and rear is at 40 psi. He typically launches between 3-3.5k by slipping the clutch(not recommanded since he blew his clutch assembly out the last time at milan). Hope this helps.

I second the notion that .1 off your 60ft is good for .2 off your ET... My best 60ft has been 2.27 with my Cougar... I think High 2.2s are possible in your car, just keep practicing. A drop in K&N filter could also help you a bit....

When I run there, I run drag radials with about 22psi and the rears have about 40-42 psi. My launches are going to be different this year, only because I destroyed my clutch on opening day a Milan. But I will be going back soon, to get some 14`s slips. SVeet- next time you wanna go to Milan, let me know. I will be more than happy to meet you down there. As for our times, looks like no traction for you. On opening day, I was running the same times as you. Just needed to get some rubber. But I am impressed by your mph. Keep up the work. Marc

I was going to go to Milan on Wednesday but, I think it's going to be hotter than I would like. Maybe next week.
I found my timeslips from last year. I ran on 4-25-01. This was my best from then:
60 ft 2.441 330 ft 6.590 1/8 et 10.005 1/8mph 71.98 1000 ft 12.928 1/4 et 15.416 1/4 mph 90.34
I put in the Energy Suspension engine mount bushing last night. The stock bushing is very weak and flexible rubber. I was actually surprised and a little scared at how weak it is.
I had just a short test drive because I had to help a friend pull the T-5 out of his Mustang.
I tried one launch in a parking lot. I launched it at 2000 rpm and it spun pretty good and seemed like there was some wheel hop but extremely less severe than I had experienced before. Too soon to really tell.
I'll do a write up in the Mods section after I put some miles on it.
