As you guys probably know, I traded in mean green last weekend on a 2000 lazer red GT mustang with 9500 miles on it. It is bone stock, except I removed the intake silencer on it and I had mobil 1 synthetic oil put in it today. I really like it and look forward to modifying it over time.

I dynoed my mustang today to get some baseline numbers on it with NO MODS. It did pretty well. Anyway, I know that there are guys building up the 3.0's to have some serious HP, so I thought I'd post up my bone stock baseline dyno numbers for you guys to use as a performance benchmark to relate your buildups to. This way, you'll know when you're outpowering a stock 2000 2 valve stang. Hope this helps serve as a reference point as you guys get wild with the contour buildups.

The dyno was a Dynojet 248H.

MAX HP: 225 RWHP @ 5200 RPM (equates to 264 crank hp)

MAX TORQUE: 264 FT/LBS @ 4200 RPM (equates to 310 ft/lbs at the crank)

Thanks for the information. I have been wondering what a stock GT is putting down.

I am trying to beat the stock GT in power to the wheels as my first short-term goal, then as a long term goal I want to have power like the cobra(turbo or blower).

Based on the shape of that curve, I would be making as much power/torque at 6000 RPM as the GT and kick butt from 6-7K .. laugh

But of course I get killed 0-6000RPM... frown

Nice numbers man.

Yeah, the stock GT runs out of breath after 5500 rpm. I think that can be changed with some free flowing exhaust and x pipe and bigger TB...not too much though without new cams. Oh, BTW...cams are only like $250 for regrinds and $500 for new grinds. Rock on aftermarket.

Here's what I'd like to do on my stang over the next few years:

Steeda UDP's and timing adjuster
BBK or hooker longtubes
Short catted x
magnaflow catback
CNL mass air
BBK or FRPP 70 mm TB
HP cams
CDC shaker hood scoop
3.73 gears
100 shot NX kit

Torq thrust II wheels (17x8 front and 17x10 rear)
Billet interior accents/shifter knob
35% tint
2002 spoiler painted semi gloss black to match hood scoop.
eibach springs, shocks, and swaybars
caster camber plates
Kenny Brown chassis bracing/sub frame connectors

I'd have a bad arse muscle car capable of high 12s low 13s with that combo. anybody got $10k I can borrow indefinitely?
