I finally had my 2000 SVT Dyno'd today. The numbers were sort of what I was expecting, but maybe they are a bit low? The baseline was a normal run. The other is after my S-AFC was tuned a bit.

My mods are:
80mm MAF
K&N Intake
Superchip
Apexi S-AFC
Resonator Removed

Anyone care to comment? Also, altitude make have taken a bit of a toll.
Thanks

Thanks for posting your dyno graph. Something is wrong.

That k&n intake is dying after 5.5k rpms. Your air/fuel takes a dive then. The Apexi took care of that. But I would look for another intake.

The A/F line should be in the 12.5 - 13.0 range. Yours is in the 14 range like mine. You are running lean beyond the control of the Apexi, or at least that what it looks like. I am going to larger injectors to compensate for my leaness.

Was the a/f monitor the tail pipe type? If so, do you have cats? The cats will give you an incorrect reading, because the cats scrub off the fuel.

Your superchip did not raise the redline, curious???

FWIW, my Contour Non-svt dynoed at 160hp 157tq with $300 of mods.

I would be concerned, if not disappointed.

Thanks for the comments, Indy. That's kind of what I was thinking. The numbers were low, the chip isn't raising the limiter, & the car looks lean. With that said, the air/fuel was taken from the tailpipe. (yes, I do have cats) The other thing the guy at the Dyno said is heatsoak was starting to click in and if I wanted to wait 30 mins (ie: pay buttload of money for nothing), it would have been higher.

I've also noticed the site that is hosting the pic isn't 100% reliable. laugh Let's try another site.

What correction factor did they use? That could be part of the low numbers.. the altitude and all. Another guy dyno'd out there in Colorado and only hit 150HP and 140lbft.

I'm not aware of any correction factors, atleast they didn't mention it and it's not on either of the two sheets they gave me.
I read that link and they mentioned a 25% correction factor? To me that is a bit high. I'll see if I can get ahold of a few of the colorado members to see how they did. I'm sure atleast one of them should know something about how Paragon does their dyno.

Tim-
Those are the corrected numbers unfortunatly..I've been to Paragon a few time to dyno and the uncorrected numbers here at 5000+ feet are UGLY..
Like others mentioned you might want to check into a bigger filter- we observed FluidSVT's KKM "laying down" at one of our meets. I know someone on here was selling the bigger filters to fit the KKM adaptor plate. Also, check your plugs and wires as those lines look a bit jagged near the peak. You should be making more power as on the same dyno my 95SE has 157.2hp and 151.9 tq..but I do have lots of mods laugh
BTW, did Donny run the dyno? How much did he charge you? Oh, and I try to show up about 30 min before I'm scheduled and pop the hood as soon as I get there to help w/the heatsoak. HTH

from the factory it should be 165hp and 169fls. should all the cars be close to about the same.

It doesn't throw it THAT far off. I have the sniffer in the exhaust pipe every time. I've been with and without cats.

If it's true that we are here to help others, then what exactly are the others here for?

Hey Alex, I believe it was Donny who did the run. He seemed like a nice guy, but must have been hurting for some cash, so he stuck it to me.
Does my car seem to be running too lean? I know there were some adjustments made to make the air/fuel more linear, but maybe they were going after the wrong set of parameters. I'm half tempted to throw the stock MAF and the KKM intake back on, because it didn't seem to make much of a difference.
After I get a little more done to the car I'm going to take it somewhere else and have a baseline ran on the car. Probably after I get a better y-pipe, 9mm wires, & new plugs. The only other thing I can think of is I drove 2hours to the dyno place and my car sat for maybe 20mins before it was pulled around back to the dyno.

Thanks for the comments guys!
