yesterday i was driving home from school when i started to smell something burning. i got off at the next exit and noticed smoke rising from the hood. when i popped the hood my engine was covered in oil. some how the oil cap came loose and blew off. so i dumped 2 qts of oil in and jammed my sock in as a cap. but the problem is now im about a quart over what i should be. will this cause any damage? and can i get the oil out without changing it, since i did that about 200 miles ago?

Just drain about a quart out of the motor. It shouldn't have done any damage for that short time.
