Cutting your springs is kinda dangerous, I wouldnt do it if I were you. I read they can fail after they have been cut. And also that they ride like crap. Mabye someone can either back me up on this or tell me Im full of it laugh
If you want cheap, check out the Roush springs. $120 shipped, and you can use your stock struts. Then later on you can upgrade to better struts.

Bad idea...
When you cut the springs, you create different spring rates at all corners. Besides handling like a skateboard with square wheels, it's dangerous.
Save up a litte $$, and get proper springs. Roush springs are cheap, and the How to will show you how to do it yourself. You'll have to take them off to cut them, so just blow a few $$ and get better springs, and do it right.
Please don't cut the springs!

the stock springs have the weight balance from the engine bay to the trunk. Therefore the spring rate would change and make the car unstable. Overall don't do it, I've got an x-perience with one but...won't go into it.

Can someone link me to these springs? Is it 120 for all? How much is the drop? How good are the springs? I still bet it would be fun to cut springs or hair or paper.. i'll just go cut paper or maybe the rug
How would I put them on? What tools do I need? Will increase handling and/or ride quality? TIA

click here for a little info on the Roush springs. There is also a lot of info on the springs on the Cougar board.
1-800-59-ROUSH is the number to call for the springs. $120 including shipping. They are this price until they run out. After that they are gone for good.
There should be in the FAQ page a how-to for installing springs and struts.
