This is a non contour question, but I hope it is more of a general car issue and it pertains to a ford taurus so maybe someone car savvy or ford savvy (Terry Haines?) can help. It is 97 Ford Taurus GL When the steering wheel is turned in hot weather there is a loud clunking metal on metal sound coming from the left wheel area. One shop said it is the neutral stabilizer, but that was replaced and the noise is still there. Could it be the CV joint?

A friend of mine had a terrible loud clunking sound in his Blazer, and it was the CV joint. Depending on the loudness/type of noise, it could also be your tie rods, as mine were a little noisy when broken.

I'm afraid Speed Demon has given me the mod bug.
