larsofvt, IIRC, you can use late springs if you also install late struts.

For cougars roush and eibach are both made to be used with stock struts. From what I heard years ago they Are eibachs just wound a little different which makes em stiffer. Also I dont remember but one was progressive and the other was linear...anyone clarify?
Also the differences between the 2 are probably not that noticeable- people love both.
I thoght stock cougars sat an inch lower than contours to begin with, and some people on this board swapped with stock cougar springs?
Like any lowering spring they wear out the shocks a lot faster.

I talked with Roush and they said they didn't know if these Couger springs would work for a contour. And he said they have several left in stock.

Thanks for any info. When I first put them on they were great on smooth surfaces, but rather stiff over bad surfaces. I had been running the tires at 36 psi, so I reduced it to 32 psi and it's now much better. Still stiffer than stock mind you and sometimes I wished I'd spent the extra money on the BAT matched kit. Another option is going to a softer or adjustable strut ala Koni (mucho $ though). Also, you'll get more bouncy with this setup, but again not too much.

Just got home. They arrived!! WOOHOO!! Finally, my 'tour will have a proper altitude adjustment. Now I just have to beg and plead my buddy to install them this weekend.
