It would be better than the stock struts, probably.

I've had them on my stock SE struts for a couple of months now (with 57K on the struts). Not as good of performance as you'd get with Koni's, but still a great improvement over stock. Not bouncy at all and they look great! laugh

I just ordered a set- Eric at Roush helped me. They still have a few sets available. He also said they are a softer spring than H&R or Eibach which is why you can use stock/SE/SVT struts. These springs lower a Cougar 1.25", I hope I can get this much on my SVT.
BTW 1-800-597-6874 is the #.

How close of a drop is it the the Eibach's. Roush is around 1.25" and the Eibach's are?

The 1.25 drop is advertised for a Cougar, BNoon says he got "about 1" drop, maybe more". so that sould be about.15 of an inch difference from the Eibachs,in front and maybe .10" in the back.

Contour 98 SVT: If you decide to order, ask for '99 V6 Cougar springs- I was told 3-4 days shipping.

I ordered my Roush springs on a Monday morning, and got them Tuesday evening, so don't be surprised if they show up faster than ya think!
I got at least a 1.25 drop out of mine, but I think the rear is lower than the front after it settled.
I'm put them on with Koni's and love the ride, not to harsh at all. But I'm going to change them out with some H&R's next year, just to keep my exhaust from scraping speedbumps.
But for the $$, you cannot beat them!
