Hi,

I have ~75k on my daily-driver, non-raced/AutoX'd SVT. I will be installing the BAT kit soon.

I want the car to be ready to run another 60K+ without needing another big teardown or riding like crap.

At this mileage, would it be foolish to arbitrarily replace the following components, presuming the car will be apart for new springs & struts:

Inner/outer tie rods
Sway bar end links
Front control arms
[I am missing anything else?]

From what I read about the early control arms, they require a lot of work to R&R, e.g. drop subframe. Is this true with the later style control arms which have the vertical bushings?

Also I am thinking of getting the additional suspension parts from BAT...any advice there?

Thanks!

IMHO:

Inner/outer tie rods: Outers are easy and don't require additional teardown. Change when needed or if seal is broken/torn. I'm not sure about the inners?

Sway bar end links: Can be replaced without any other teardown needed.

Front control arms: Unless they are worn, too expensive to replace at 1/2 life.

Check the lower ball joint seals and replace the joints if the seals are cracked/torn.
