Are there signs or symptoms that typically will indicate that the coil pack is not up to par? (V6, '95).
A few times lately there appears to be a longer time than 'normal' for the engine to catch on startup. I'm looking at a second or two.

Is your tachometer acting funny? That is usually a sign that the coil pack or ingnition module is going bad.

Tach is OK.
At times I feel I am not getting the response of old when I 'hit the gas', but then there are 193,000 KMs on the car. Last tune up was about 40,000 kms ago, which included wires and plugs.
193000 is not that much really. That's only 115,800 miles.
