ok, took the 'tique in the other day to get the radiator flushed, and the mechanic told me, "FOUND THE L/SWAY BAR LINK LOOSE AND SWAY BAR HAS PLAY-BOTH SHOULD BE REPLACED" to the tune of $300. i think they just feeding me a line of **** and want to charge me 300 bucks to change the $10 sway bar linkages. any guesses/comments/experiences like this? ![confused confused](/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/default/confused.gif)

On a 95, very likely true that it was needed. But $300 is highway robbery.

Agree with Lance takes about an Hour to do both so it should cost
75 labor and maybe 50 for parts?

Is the sway bar link the piece that connects the sway bar to the strut? If so what happens to them that causes them to need replacing? Symptoms?

this maybe a stupid question. But are you refering to a clunk/sound like the springs hit the top of the fender when you go over a bump or pot hole. i ask because i had front end work done and when it came back from the dealership it does as i described above.I took it back and they told me it is perfectly normal and couldn't find a problem! it never did this prior to the work. thanks Originally posted by Terry Haines: Front suspension 'clunks' is the symptom, can reach round behind the wheel an feel if its worn, some upgraded a/market links have grease fittings,by the links & diy.......
