Most people recommend 1.5" or less, as a general rule of thumb for most cars, to avoid alignment issues.
If that's the case, what's another .07" between friends? Big deal? or Not?
If a 1.6" drop causes alignment problems, will a camber kit (now avlbl for the front) fix it?
Are there hidden stress and wear issues involved with lowering, in general, and going past 1.5" in particular?

Well, I have the H&R sport springs and they lowered my ride 1.75 in the front and 1.25 in the rear to start off at, but now that ive had em a while they have settled even lower and i have no problem with camber or toe-in...
matter of fact Bernie has GCs on his SVT and it is slammed as low as it can go if im correct and it doesnt look as if he has a problem with camber like most imports would!

You'll find that any lowering will wearn the crap out of the insides of your tires. Thankfully though, it see, BAT finally has a camber kit for our cars. WOO HOO!

Taking the A arm horiz type bushes, the rubber bush is bonded to the shell of the a arm bush on the outside and the pivot pin on the insid, the bushes are fitted so that whan the car is at 'normal' ride height there is little torsional stress on the rubber bushes,as the the suspension goes up/down the rubber in the bush is used to resist the twist,in fact it helps the 'spring of the suspenion. If the ride height is lowered the bushes are put under torsional shear loads at the new 'normal' height...and can cause early wear on stock bushes. If you check the 'book of words' you will find on the rear suspension, that the bushing thru bolts should not be fully tightened until the vehicle is on the ground with the weight acting on the bushes before they are 'locked' to both the moving & fixed part of the suspension...,rubber bushes only have a limited torsional movement range ,which is why we dont set them tight until the vehicle is at correct ride height....

Oh.
So, any remedy? Or are the replacements subject to the same stresses.
