I have never lowered a car (just trucks) What is the effect of lowering a car with just springs and leaveing the stock struts. With my trucks the stock shocks could be used if you did not go to low and got a good alignment. Will stock struts wear badly with just a spring lowering the car 1.6 inches and why?

I did not try to search so if you are a nazi mad come and get some, I AM LAZY laugh

there is a reason everyone PREACHES to get shocks at the same time. The car will be very bouncy after the stock'rs wear out prematurely

I tend to disagree. I put a set of Eibachs on my old car and then after a couple of years, the ride got harsh. The shocks are fine, but I think the struts are going. It is my winter beater so I am not going to replace them. I think that replacing everything all at once is the best way to go, however some of us have have better things to do with our money. Check out the GB forum on the Koni/Spring setup that might start. Under $600, that is what I am thinking about doing. Hope this helps you out.

I'd go ahead and get struts too larry. If you're having someone install them for you...you dont want to pay install costs again just to put the struts on. Or if your doing it yourself, you dont want to do it again, its a pretty big job. In other words, why pay/do the install twice?

What springs/struts you going with BTW?

Also what would be a good price to get a kit put on and how hard is it for someone who can do it themselves
