I just got my Konis installed a few days ago and i asked them to set them to full hard all around (had a autox event the next day).... well i went under the hood to make sure they were set correctly and the knob still turned in the "Firm" direction! Does this mean they wern't set or does the knob just keep turning even though "full hard" has been reached....? confused

If someone could explain to me how the adjusting works that would be great...no instructions were in the boxes...

Sorry about this stupid question but i don't wanna screw anything up...

Thanks,
Matt

When mine were installed they set them full firm. The knob shouldn't move any more, and don't force it.
To adjust, just set them full firm or soft and turn each one the same amount.
The installer probably didn't adjust them all the same possibly, so start from scratch.

The adjustment is counter-clock to firmest. There is a stop when you hit full firm. He probably turned them the wrong way. Believe me you can feel the difference when driving. At full firm the Koni's are not comfortable for regular street driving, IMHO.

Mine are just over two full turns from stop to stop. The mech probably turned them clockwise thinking 'to the right to tight'...not realizing they actually turn counter-clock.

Guys - it could pay to read your instructions again!

They state:

"City ride- minimum position, completely clockwise.

Cross Country- 1/2 turn counterclockwise

GT/Aggressive Driving- 1 turn counterclockwise.

ATTENTION: Shockabsorbers may never be fully
adjusted."

Going by that last line they should never be adjusted fully counterclockwise.

BLAH! I ride with mine 100% hard all the time. No negative effects and I have about 20k on them. Just my $.02

Mondeo,ST24 I'd like to know where you got
instrutions. Mine were all pictures, except the
torque Settings.. Ordered back with the shox.com
deal. I even emailed Koni and they didn't have anything. strange.

The instructions came with the rears. The fronts didn't have them included, just the other fitting instructions you're talking about.

I'm sure I've read something similar on a Koni website somewhere too? I can scan in the full thing and Email it to anyone who's interested.
