I had my set-up eactly that... until recently swap in with some Koni's.
You will wear the stock struts down fast. But it will handle good. My reason (like most people) was no money for the Koni's. Anyways i drove it that way for about two year post-poning the swap.
If possible to buy struts, I would do both. If not you'll be ok.
