I've noticed on my car (and on others') that the struts seem to move around quite a bit at the top of the strut towers, as evidenced by worn paint around the bushings.

It might be possible that the changing geometry caused by this movement is going to affect the cars handling.

Might changing the bushings around the top of the strut tower reduce strut movement at the top of the tower?

I have the exact same query, but I don't know whether to get new stock bushings from bat or KYB bushings from TireRack or Shox.com. Any opinions?

I replaced mine all around when I Installed KYB's.
Good uprgrade if you already have struts out, but kind of tough job just for the mounts.
