Hello all:

I am 'fortunate' to have the snap off spring lowering kit designed by Ford.
Both my rear springs are broken, and I didn't even know it. I replaced my
front springs last summer (with new struts, too).

I would like to get a ride height survey of several 'stock' 1995 SE models
with side skirts to compare against my current 'lowered' version.

I ask that the ride height be measured front and rear to the bottom center
of the jack point cover (on level ground). Measured to nearest 1/16" inch.

Stock V6 1995 SE's with side skirts only please (95-97's similar?), stock
wheels (15" alloys) and tire size.

F. Right: 6 1/16"
F. Left: 6 1/16"
R. Right 6 1/16"
R. Rear 6 1/16"

So I don't see the difference in ride height with broken rear springs.

So your rear end doesn't look like it's got about 300 lbs of equipment in there?? Mine did when my rear springs decided to break. Anyway I can't help ya here, I said bye bye to stock springs a while ago. So pretty much this is just a worthless post! :rolleyes:

FWIW, my `96 GL sits like this. Keep in mind that my driveway isn't exactly level and my rear sway bar is the cause of the LR/RF variations. These are measured to the bottom of the pinch welds directly behind/infront of the tires. This is also with my autox tire pressures of 48 psi front / 42 rear.

LF: 7 1/2"
LR: 8 9/16"
RF: 7 3/8"
RR: 9"

It may not be of too much help, but it gives you an idea, for reference. Lately it seems like my springs have expanded. Maybe my car is trying for that Subaru Forester look?
