I have the bat 22 mm sway bar and reading other members howto's I see that there is a gap that I have between the bracket and the nut should I bend the bracket more to get it to touch or should I go get some stainless washers a

I had the same problem, you must NOT bend the bracket, that will only deform the bracket and make it likely to pop out on the "tab" end. I never did fine a good solution myself. There are some upgraded brackets out there but someone else will have to point the way.

When I installed my 22 mm bat's bar one year and
many autocrosses ago. I used an oversized nut
on the bolt side to fill in the gap. Have had no problem with backets breaking or working loose.
