I have ground controls and my camber is at -.25 on all 4 tires. I have almost 30,000 miles on the nitto450 performance 215/45/17's and might get another 15,000. My car is dropped as far as it will go. In all about 3 1/2inches and no abnormal wear. I would take it in and get a second opinion. Dropping it shouldn't cause that much wear that fast. I might be wrong.
95 contour (All the usual mods and then some.) Trying to sell four wheeler so i can buy turbo.

Just thinking out loud, that uneven might be due to a need for an alignment?? Maybe you thought of this already. I've had my eibachs for 15,000+ miles and had no probs on my yoko's.

i lowered my svt with h&r's and my tires wear fast, but evenly.
all they can adjust in an alignment are the toe specs, but i guess you can go check and see if your caster/camber are within specs.

Page 14 of the new BAT catalog has a section that discusses this issue. They say camber between -1.7 and .08 degrees is ok. Here is a link to the catalog: http://www.batinc.net/contour.htm Hope this is helpful - suspension optimization is something I need to learn more about myself.

WOuldn't it be sweet if there were an option for re-constructing the front strut tower to allow the fittment of this: I doubt there would be enough interest or financial commitment from this group, but if there were a very skilled welder, an engineer and a customer with deep pockets, it could be done. Total custom fabrication = $$$$$$$$. I wonder how Albert Mirko dealt with camber adjustments on the car he ran? Mark

Ya call that a caster/camber plate? Yeesh. Check out the Griggs equipment in all its glory. Too bad the CDW27 strut towers aren't flat....

My first set of tires wore on inside(stock). Toe setting was causing it more then chamber. My car is lowered and tires are wearing evenly. A friend of mine, owner of Morris Eng. Suspension is curently working on chamber adjustment plates for celica and neon. Said he will take a look and see if he can make some for contour. Probably within a month, when he can find time. If he can i'll post something in GB if anyone is interested.

MarkIIRC, the camber has two fixed positions. One for street and one for track. The caster is fully adjustable. If you want full adjustable on both, then you get these:

Leo capaldi has modified his strut tower in order to accept normal camber/caster plates
Basically he cut four slits into the top of the tower going from the outer edge to the middle, so now his tower looks like a 4 slice pizza, then he took a BFH and pounded on the towers until they were flat, next is to weld your cuts back up, grind to a nice finish and mount your camber/caster plates.
