Whohoo! I got my BAT European suspension kit installed. laugh I can't believe the difference. Other than the clearance between the ground effects and the ground, it's how the SVT should have come from Ford. Less body roll, squat, and brake dive with only a slightly stiffer ride.

I think I'll take the long way to work tomorrow.

Congratulations!
If you got them installed by a shop, how much should I expect to pay for installation?
Thanks

installed mine on Saturday...absolutely love it! laugh

It sits perfect, you can tell its lower but doesn't look slammed. Fills in the wheel gap just right. And the handling eek its great. The thing I love the most is hardly any brake dive or lunging in between shifts.

got my alignment today...cost me $100 mad

My installation was a little stealthy as I didn't want the wife to know. cool I took my car to the dealership to have the oil changed ( supplied my own Mobil 1 and K&N oil filter of course) and had them install the springs and struts as well as taking care of the brake cable TSB, a water leak, and a creaky driver seat. For the spring and strut install it was $350 whic pretty much negated the $50 bucks saved on the group buy.

My alignment at the dealership was $55 I believe.
I gave them the specs out of the BAT catalog. Were those the ones I should have given them?

Ghodge:
Thanks for the reply on installation costs. I installed Eibachs on my former 2k Si, wasn't too difficult. I hear the install on the SVT is a *****. Thanks.

I gave you a rating for your detailed reply.

SVTee,

Thanks for the rating. I was wondering if I would ever get rated. laugh

The Ford tech said installing the kit was a pain in the butt and took the better part of a day. I guess I should have given him the spring and strut HOWTO done by Anastazi I believe. Then he would have been able to do it in 4 hours or less.

After day two with the kit, I still have a grin on my face that I haven't been able to get rid of.
I'm considering adding a rear strut tower brace and possibly subframe connectors next.

Thanks again

George
