The rain sticks very well to the window and poor visability occurs. What can I clean the inside of window, outside of window and what type of solution can I get to repel the water instead of allowing it to sit on winshield. Thanks in advance! frown

I use Rain X, apply once a month, then I've never had to bother turning on wiper when I'm over 60KM/hr. Water hates Rain X, or vise versa.

A little trick that window washers use is TSP (Trisodiumphosphate) and water. It is the
second best chemical I have ever used. eek

In your new car, the inside of the windows tend to get coated with all of the off-gassing volatiles in the plastics. Windex and newspaper always work for me.

I just add a coat of Zaino when I'm polishing the car. Works the same as Rain-x.

I used to use Rain-X on my old High School VW and I had a problem with glare when driving at night. Of course, that was 10 years ago, so maybe they fixed it. I have astigmatism, so nighttime glare is bad enough to begin with, and it was too much for me to deal with. FYI.

I had the same problem. I put rain-X on the outside and that fixed the rain problem. The insides stay dirty due to the oils in the plastic vaporizing and precipitating on the inside of the windows.

I tried alot of things but I found a 50/50 mix of rubbing alcohol and ammonia, (make sure you do it outside on a windy day) and I used news paper as the wipe, that did a good job after about two times in a row, and then it lasted about two or three weeks before I had to do it again.
