Could your heater core be leaking?
{I do hate spam, but that isn't really part of my email address. Remove the string ?HatesSpam? from the email address ?BobHatesSpam@blaylock.to? to email me. No advertisements. Before I got rid of my previous car, a 1994 Tempo, I swapped radios. I liked the Tempo's radio better. That counts as a mod, doesn't it? I also kept one of my Tempo's wheels to use as a spare. I hate those stupid ?compact? spares that come with modern cars. Does this count as a mod? If so, I guess I have two mods. Replaced burned/melted blower switch and connector on 19 February 2002 with a 1P3T toggle switch from Marvac and a Molex connector from Rat Shack; I guess this now makes three mods.)

Have the AC pressure checked/topped up.With low AC charge the 'drier' part of the ac,which is used on 'heat' settings, will not extract the moisture from the inside of the car.

I would have to agree with Bob's diagnosis. Does the smell of the air out of the vents smell sweet? If so, your heater core has given up the ghost. If the heater box is anything like a Mustang's then you are in a long DIY project or a heafty shop bill.
The only other things I can think of are a water logged air cabin filter or a clogged evaporater drain line that is not allowing the coil condensation to drain out of the heater box. HTH.

Could potentially be a bad windshield seal in that area.

Has anyone ever driven by a river or lake, in the early morning, and have their windshield fog up SOOOO BAD...defrost on high helps a total fog out. I get that every morning right at the same spot in Westport MA. I too thought it was a problem with the car but have noticed it happens on the same stretch of road.....only on cold mornings. Just a thought.

I have noticed that after I Armor All the dash, in the heat the Vinyl protectant evaporates and fogs the windshield.
A thought.
