I'm having the same impeller problem right now on my mom's 95 LX. It's right around 100K miles too. anything else you ahd to replace when this first happened? Want to make sure that everything is okey-dokey before we put everything back together. (Boy, they really pack that Duratec engine in there pretty tight.)

If a Ford WP lasted a 100K (which I am absolutely surprised - mine went out a 60K), why wouldn't you get another one from Ford? You might have saved a few bucks but your TIME (Part removal and replacement and actual downtime) is worth something. It is not my intention to bag anyone but there are certain things that should be dealer-purchased.
