I was just wondering if anyone knew any junk yards in ga? I need to replace my hood after denting it and I am afraid getting it fixed in a body shop will cost a lot.

I am looking for a electronic, auto-dimming mirror. I also would not mind a front grill chrome ring from a 98+ Contour to play with.

I would just look in the phone book. Call first though, because some of them have weird rules, i.e. you have to be accompanied, $50 minimum charge for any part, etc.

Tony why the switch back to black?

the car already has 15% tint i painted my sails black, the oval in the back is black so i think it will just look better if its all black!
im gonna keep the ring around the shifter silver and paint the clock silver(like brad's car)other than that i want everything back to black.

Yeah body shop wanted 650 to fix my hood because they say i have to get a new one, so if we all can find some places that have wrecked contours i am all for it. If not then I have to get a new hood but the good news is i will have one to play with and make into a ram air hood. I would rather not pay around 700 though. Lets starting calling around people!!

Dude, go to tapeworks.com and check out their carbon fiber tape. You could use that on your dash pieces. I did my sail panels with it and they look great.

The only problem with the tape is it is very hard to get it to look right around all the curves on the door handles, etc...

I think the name of the salvage yard I am thinking of is Palmer's auto Salvage. Its on highway 78 all the way out near Monroe, GA. I can't remember exactly if its between Monroe and Loganville or if its East of Monroe on the way to Athens. They are a ford chop shop. They specialize in dismantling damaged new ford inventory, as well as wrecked cars. Fords aren't the only cars they get, but Ford products consists of most of their volume. Its a big junk yard on the right hand side of the road if you are travelling from Stone Mountain to Athens.
