96 V6 SE with 98,000 miles died at a traffic light. All power gone including flashers, windows stuck down. After getting towed home I heard a clicking noise in the steering column. I then disconnected the battery so that nothing would blow up. Third time this has happened in past 9 months. No warning. First two times I had some power but couldn't start it. Speedometer was going from 0-120mph despite car not being on. Dealer replaced battery first time (I told dealer that was bull@#$% and sure enough it broke again 3 months later). Dealer replaced alternater 2nd time 6 months ago. Current battery has power but it is not getting to car. All the cables seem to be connected and in good shape. Any ideas?

Ford said it was a bad connection on the cables that connect to the battery. They fixed it for $150. If I am lucky that should keep me going for another 3 months.
