I see some of these guys make some neat videos, so I was thinking one of us with a nice camera should bring it so we can make some of our own. I'm thinking if one of you has video editing software/hardware we could actually do some nice, short videos and/or films and put the SW group on the map in the eyes of the CEG. We have a nice, diverse group w/ lots'a guts for trying new things (DARKERIMAGE's 19s {first on a 'tour, I believe}; Kaiser's APex'I; warmonger's 3L, etc.).
I thinking those of us willing to volunteer for this should list the kind of camera you have and whether or not you currently possess the ability to edit video. Here's mine...
Sharp Hi-8mm HandCam-thing... Records in stereo...has standard RCA jacks and S/Video to interface w/ PC or VHS unit. I also have a decent 6 head Hitachi VCR for dubbing to tape.
I do not possess the software or talent to edit video w/ any degree of success. I do have a CD-burner, though, if no one else does. It would be nice to make VHS and digital copies for anyone in the group that wants them.
I think a digicam (like a Mavica) would be best, but I don't know if anyone in the group has an actual digital camcorder.
Whaddya think?

Yeah. Have that ready when I come down. I want to be part of it. Sadly, I don't have either a camcorder or the software/hardware to edit either.

I have a JVC camcorder-digital camera combo that connects via firewire to my computer and the software to edit and burn to DVD, but lack the experience to make a quality video (new system). Maybe I could collaborate with someone with the knowledge.

Hey, what day is your meet in March? I was thinking about driving the tour up there (for good). But on a serious note, I think Phoenix will be one of my 1 week vacation spots, then off to Atlanta!

Well guys, that was a good time. If you miised it, sorry about your luck. The good news is that we now have a few dates for next year in which we will have our own section RIGHT UP FRONT (we will be where the Mustangs were this time). We should really try to make them huge. I think that with the attention that our rides were getting that we will do very well. The WTF factor was pretty cool. The dates are as follows: 03/30/02 06/29/02 08/31/02 11/30/02 They are booked solid for the entire year. I took all the months with the 5th weekend. They were not yet scheduled, due to an oversight. If we are gonna have much more than 10 rides I will have to make a call, but it is all good. Here you go. Be there or be square.
