Tell me what you think. I cut a hole all the way thru the press board and carpet and used a Pioneer Grill(temp) to cover the hole, painted Midnight blue(Ford interior spray paint). I used a Rockford free air,and a really cheap Legacy amplifer to push it,supposed to be 200 watts.Whole thing cost me $140 DIY.I made a spacer out of ply board to clear the deck.I have some tidying up to do,so its not really done yet. I just wanted a little thump, and this sure gives it.I was suprised. See these pics... HERE.

I would love to hear what it sounds like. Looks like a decently beefy sub. I dont like the grill though, not sure if it would have been possible to keep the factory look though, that would have gave it a nice incognito look. But hey, if your driving, you aren't going to be looking at it anyhow, if it sounds good that's what counts. How much was the sub?

Looks good, just dremel away the extra overhang on your wood screws so it doesn't catch on anything in the trunk or take you eye out if you ever stick your head back there.. That's the first 8 ohm car sub I have ever seen with my own eyes.

Actually it's a "Free-Air", and solobarics are not necessarily square. Only since 2000, before that they were as round as every other speaker. So HA! heh, couldn't resist, I'm a Kicker fan and had to set the record straight

How much was the sub? n It looks pretty factory, but Like I said that grill is only temp untill I get another one ordered(plain,w/o the Pioneer logo)that grill was just what I had around when I got the idea to put it there.
