Hey Phoenix group
Any chance any of you are looking to do some wild mods on a contour (3.0, supercharged, V8, whatever else) but dont want to use your ride? It's official that i dropped to motor in my 96 SE during the NASA event that i ran at Firebird(oil starvation leading to various problems...). The car is race/autocross ready with koni's and ground controls. It handles great, I dont feel like putting the money and time into putting a new motor in, at least not right now, so i thought i'd post this to see if anyone would be interested.

I'm not totaling or parting-out the car, as there is no damage other than to the internals of the engine. It mearly needs a heart transplant and it'll be back up and running fast. I know that it handles great, both at the autocross and on the track. She's just a bit down on power and making some funny noises.
I'd like to see $4000, but before you scoff and criticize... included in this beautiful black SE with grey leather, power driver seat, sunroof and tinted windows is... KKM intake, 16" OZ F1 cups with Kuhmo (~60% left) 14" Enkei Mesh w/ blizzaks(one season, in the midwest), Mintek front pads and BAT rotors (stock rear), Sony MP3 cd player, 98 sail panels, and the stock struts and springs and stock cd player.
This would be perfect for anyone who wants a competent autox/track car and has an extra engine laying around(2.5, SVT, 3.0, whatever else fits...) ...that has an oil baffle or dry sump...
let me know if anyone is intersted.

Ben I sold my 95 SE for $4500 with 99.5K on the tach - loaded with more mods than you! I will tell you that it is going to be hard selling a Contour - period! Alot of interested buyers told me that they ran a recall report on the 95-98 Contour and came back with four pages of recall info. If you get an offer for $3,500, you better run with it!
