I wanted to remove the air silencer until I get my SHO Shop cold air. Can anyone tell me how to do this without tearing anything up? Thanks CEG'ers. laugh

The SVT does not have an air silencer.

If you are refering to the fender inlet it draws cooler air from:
You can remove that by taking the battery out & moving the relay box. Then remove the 1 or 2 bolts holding it to the fender well.

With the stock airbox; Removing the boot would not accomplish much other than maybe let in some hotter air.
The small opening on the stock airbox is the big restriction point.

When you go to an open air filter make sure to make a heatshield for it.

Does'nt the SHO Shop cold air kits come with a heat shield? If not then I need to cancel my order. Let me know.

Yes it comes with a heat shield and a k&n filter. Keep it its a good setup. Soon I thinl I might upgrade my KKM for it.
