Hey, I need to start doing my own oil changes on my SVT (and SE for that matter). How do you guys jack up your cars, and where do I locate the stands?

On the SVT the jack points are located directly behind the knockouts on the rocker panels. You have to pop them out and jack the car from that spot. The seam in that area has a tendency to bend slightly. No worries, once again, it is behind the rockers(just don't go through to the floorboard..lol). I recommend staggering a few 2X6's and driving up on them first. This creates more clearance.

being that the contour is a unibody car the seams that run along the rocker panerls are structually welded and they can be used at any piont to jack on- on the svt the ground effects are in the way most of that space so just pop out your panels and do it there- also the tours have a front subframe you can jack on any part of this aswell-
