Was wondering if anybody has done this on their SVT UIM any luck or horror stories, or pics...or how about powder coating

You can see my web page... Jet Hot Coated the Upper Intake Manifold, Cold Air Intake pipe, Y-Pipe and Cat.
Why would you take the time to powder coat just for looks when you can also have it functional?
Jet Hot will Drop temps about 25-30% (Claimed).

painting and powedering insulate heat...so it doesnt disapate as fast. get someone who can polish and make it a nice shinny hunk of aluminum

That's exactly why you should paint or coat it with something, so that it doesn't absorb heat from the surrounding air and transferr it into the UIM. Especially the underside...
