So THESE are the E0 rims. My car has E1 (Cobra) rims. This is more evidence leaning toward I have a 98.5 than a 98 now ... thanks! (See sig for explanation...)
Now just to find a few more things.
Matthew 98.5 Contour SE V6 It has spent 1.5 years under the wrong identity ;-)

Some people dont bother to research the car (even when selling it). This is why you should do your own shopping and researching before you look.
My buddy bought an RX-7 FC (second generation). He saw people advertising the RX-7 as a 2.5L V6 (HAHA). Anyone who knows anything about Mazda knows that the "RX" lines carry the rotory engine (which doesn't displace anywhere near 2.5 and doesnt have cylinders that form a "V" shape).
It is also possible that the person typing made a Freudian Slip - if you believe in Freud...
Have you put in your $0.02 to save contour.org?? Put in what you can spare to keep the site up. Check the General Forum. ~~~~~~ David * 2k Black SVT on 17" Konig/Yokohama * MB Quart all around; Alpine 7995, DEI/Alpine amps; Dynomat
Soon to come: 19" HRE 445s under GC/Koni Setup, Custom passive-AWD kit, 2 small Sequential Turbos running low boost, Sequential 6-speed, Widebody Kit, custom black-red chameleon paint; on and on...

The car is an E1. I am the new proud owner of it. Going to pick it up on Friday. Should be nice. Flying into Indianapolis and driving back to Jersey. Nice 700 mile shakeout cruise. By the time the site comes back up, it'll be tuned up, water pump replaced and the chip in the windshield repaired. Then I start to have fun with some tuning.
It's nice to be in a 'tour again. And this one is a might beefier than my '95 GL 4-banger..
Now I need a sig to pimp my new baby..

The 99-00 models have straight ding guards as in the picture 99SESPORT posted. But as Chris and papadage said its an E1, so I guess some of the late 98.5 models have the newer guards. The tapered ding guards look like this:
