Anyone have a sound clip of this? I would like to know, because today I got an SVT rear bumper, and I would like to run the propor exhaust through it, so I wanted to go the cheepest route, and just run straight pipes out the back with no mufflers, but keep the resonator, I wanted to know if this "mod" would be way ungodly loud or if it would sound "raspy" or if it would just sound simply awesome.

Thanks hope someone's got this!!

I had this setup on my SVT and I loved it. The ONLY rasp is when it?s cold, after a mile or two you are good to go. I would not hesitate to spend the $40.00 it costs to have this done. All I have is the in-car of the setup:

By all means do it! I have the exact setup on my SVT, and it sounds great. And yes, it is a bit raspy when cold. When those pipes warm up, it sounds fat! wink

Now, will it sound the same with no mufflers at the end and a resonator in the middle?? I see your sound clip is "backwards" (no resonator, but you do have mufflers).

I had straight pipes for a while with a bullet resonator and resonated tips....the thing wailed...sounded awesome...but was a cop magnent not a chick magnent...best exhaust I've heard on these things is magnaflow...but that's not cheap...

i just did the Edelbrock Resonator (part #5542) and it's MUCH louder than stock, AND I left the mufflers ON...

all depends on your tolerance levels... but hey, I'm 32 years old too! laugh

i used to have a v-8 with glasspacks exiting just in front of the rear wheels - now THAT was FUN!
