No, I'm just going to use my stock SE one which should be fine. I have talked alot with others who are running 3L on their stock SE computer with 24lb injectors (bnoon) etc so I think mine will be fine. I'll probably loose about 5hp from not using it, no biggy.

lol...I was going to go 3L but a few things kept me from going that way, one of which being money. I wanted the best improvment over stock that I could get with less hastle. So the SVT engine was it. I don't have enough knowledge of engine internals to be pulling them apart and swapping out heads, cams, shot blocks, LIM, injectors etc etc etc. Regarding the filter, it will actually sit just below the fans (I measured it), so I think it's not going to get any more heatsoak then it would being in stock position up top. But we'll see.

Did you preform the mystery mod on the manifolds before you bolted them on? Perfect time to do it for a nice gain in performance...

No I haven't gutted the pre-cats. Don't now how!..lol. Yes I read the How-to on it but it confused the crap out of me and I don't want to screw something up.
Haven't had any major pitfalls/problems (yet). Everythig has been pretty much straight forward. Only real hard part was 1. getting the trans back onto the engine on my own! and 2. getting everything aligned on the subframe was a bit of a PITA. That took a while.

Simon,
I'm curious because I've never pulled an engine. Where do you connect the hooks from the lift to the engine? Are there loops on the engine itself? Is there some sort of wire basket going around the engine to hook on to? I just can't picture it or see it in yours. It also looks balanced pretty well on the lift. How did you do it?

See you in a few weeks! Haha...yeah really!! Beth was freaking out today saying how it's only 2 1/2 weeks away. It feels like months to me. See you soon bud! John: The engine has two metal "loops" actually attached to the engine. 1 is at the back on the left (lookng that the front of the engine, you can see it on the 3rd pic, just follow the chain down) and the other is front right. You can see the front one in the first few pics (the chrome chain/hook is attached to that one). These are the actualy "engine hoist points" on the V6 engine. The engine is actually sitting on the engine hoist's "legs". It makes it alot easier that way as I can move the hoist around (its on wheels) with the subframe/engine/trans sitting in them very easily.
