Wow, anyone else think the roof and doors buckling is a bad thing? On the flipside, I don't know how fast this test was conducted. What speed was it run at?

I did some digging on the site:

The front impact test is conducted at 64km/h (40mph) into an offset deformable barrier, the side impact test 50km/h (approx. 30mph), the pole test at 25km/h (18mph) and the pedestrian tests at 40km/h (25mph).

Doesn't look to good for 40MPH.

Check out the A-pillar...that is pretty good...didn't buckle a bit.

I have a general understanding of crumple zones but I didn't think that the roof was supposed to buckle like that. I did note that the Peugeot 406 looked a lot worse though.

I thought the 406 looked really good. The crumple zones
seemed to do their job without hurting the passengers.
Hard to tell without motion, but judging by the stills, I'd
say the Ford got beat up pretty good. frown
