when cold, almost like a Honda with buzz can. warm.. like stock but much louder with droning. my advice, replace it with a high-flow resonator, pre-muffler, glasspack, etc. instead.

i agree with louisw with everything but the droning part...my resonator is out and opended the exhaust pipe to 2 1/2 inches...i have no drone. but its realy up to the drivers likings...

If you have an SVT, you get drone.

I removed the resonator and kept the stock SVT mufflers. The only drone I've noticed is at idle. At a part throttle 5th gear cruise it's almost as quiet as stock. Tip in the throttle a little while cruising in 5th, and you get a deeper mellow sound. Not annoying at all. The only small disappointment I have is a brief raspy sound between 2,500 and 3,000 rpm at WOT. However, the rasp is VERY brief and it only occurs in this small 500 rpm window at full throttle. I specifically listened for rasp when I test drove the car immediately after the resonator removal. The ultimate test was when my wife drove the car for the first time with the resonator removed. She gets steamed when I talk about doing ANY mods to her car, so I brought the resonator home in the trunk (just in case). She had no clue I took it to a muffler shop. I was expecting a "What the hell did you do to my car?! It loud and sounds like sh*t now!" To this day she hasn't said a word. wink

I may have only gained 5 or 6 hp, but it only cost me $25. It may just be my imagination, but the car also seems to run a little cooler now.

So yall are saying it is more Muffle sound to it ...Suggestions about puttin a Glass Pack ...Anyone have that done ? Sounds good . I think that is a good idea .
