Was bored and had my camera... decided to give em a little food -- whole wheat hot dog buns. Their mama is with em there someplace, kinda hard to pick her out if you don't know what she looks like (she's the one with her neck stretched out in the first pic). I think they're about 2 months old now.





And I messed around w/ the macro mode on my camera and took some flower pics:

Back when the wife and I were in college, she thought it would be fun to get a duck for a pet. The corner pet store had some just after Easter, so she bought one (over my protest). She didn't sleep for a week and a half. The damn thing stayed up all night quacking. We found a farmer who took it off our hands. I don't have the heart to tell her that he probably ate the thing...oh well...those are cute, Perry.

And now we see the softer side of perry.

Nice color and focus though, what kind og camera is that?

looking at beautiful little animals like that sometimes makes you think about how much easier life should be...

Heh. I've been watching the duckies since they first appeared swimming around the pond, and looked to be less than a week old. At first, mama didn't let em up on the shore when I was around, they'd swim to the other side of the pond (only about 15 yards wide at that point). Then, she'd let em on the same side of the pond to eat the bread I threw out. Now she's lettin em get right up close.

But I need to stop feeding them so they'll fly south for the winter. Don't wanna be supporting a family of 11 ducklings all winter long.

The color isn't THAT good... The darker colored stripes on their back are more purplish than what it looks like (maybe the shadows killed it? I dunno). I do like the way the flower pics turned out though. It's a Canon S100.
