The newer SEs were available with Zetec motors as well as the V6, so the 24V badging would require coordination on the shop floor. I'll bet the SE badges were cheaper too.

Well, I did it yesterday. The floss idea worked really good. The screwdriver idea was bad because the screwdriver went through the towel I was using, but I just put the emblem over the scratch mark. The floss idea worked really good on the emblem with my car dealer's name on it.... it came right off with the glu-gone and floss. Here is a pic:

Questions:
1. Why is there a hole behind the "SE" emblem?

2. Is the scratch behind the new 24v emblem gonna rust in a couple of years?

Answer to number 1 is: They are for sidemarkers. I believe that the Mondeo and the Contour used the same fenders. cool
