whats the story on that SS?
The SS started life as a "normal" 320hp Camaro SS before it was taken to Lingenfelter for some engine work. Actually, Lingenfelter estimated it at ~360hp (crank) bone stock after the initial dyno run, and they said that it was one of the strongest ones they had worked on.

Lingenfelter's work (from their web site):
Engine removal, inspection and disassembly
CNC porting and polishing of cylinder heads
LPE valve springs and titanium retainers
Stainless steel intake and exhaust valves
Three angle valve job, correct setting of spring tensions
Custom designed LPE hydraulic roller camshaft
Professional installation, testing and tuning
Ported throttle body
Port matched intake manifold
Borla stainless steel exhaust system
Low restriction air filter housing and K&N air filter
Chassis dyno report
2 Year/24,000 mile warranty

After the work, the car was dyno'd somewhere in the 380-390 range at the wheels, which would mean somewhere in the neighborhood of 450hp at the crank. Actually when he went to pick the car up, Mr. Lingenfelter drove it (he drives each one that they work on) and wasn't happy with it. So he made the technicians adjust the injectors or something until he was satisfied. laugh The Borla lets him direct whatever amount of exhaust he wants through the muffler, or none at all. Right now the baffle is completely open, and the car is quite loud, even at idle. The Corvette felt quicker on the butt dyno, but his plans are to put shorter gearing in the rear end of the SS; you really have to give it quite a bit of gas to prevent from stalling when first starting out.
