If you can't say something nice...or hell, at least CONSTRUCTIVE, don't say anything at all. "Ditch the wing" does nothing for anyone. I, for one (and I'm not the ONLY one), give you some MAJOR props for going against the "discreet sleeper" grain, having some balls, and slapping a wing on there that YOU like, and more power to ya for it. cool Call her a pioneer, call her a radical, but don't call her unoriginal. For that matter, how bout the droves of CEGers out there with hightower headlights, blacked out chrome, recontented everything, and knauberized ding strips? I happen to like all of the aforementioned appearance mods, but there's nothing better than being "the first" I'd rather be original and have MY car the way I want it, than be just another sheep. Now if you'll excuse me, I'm in the middle of dying my hair green. laugh Keep up the good work, rock on.

oh, and before the "leghumping" flames begin, keep in mind, I'm spoken for. :p

Constructive? Fine, here goes...

Thisgirls, I know you think I am a dick. So be it. I am being honest. I think you are in some sort of rice denial though. I mean, look at your car:

Underbody Neon, Washer Nozzle LEDs, an EXHAUST LEDs!?!? I am sorry, maybe it is different around you but most cars up here with those things are pretty riced out.

Terminator Wing: That is a BIG wing for a stock engine, FWD car. Looks silly on a 4-door sedan too.

Carbon Fiber Dash Kit: Glad you saved those 2 pounds. Mathematically that should shave .002 seconds of your 1/4 mile time.

In other words, I think it might look a whole lot better without all the ghetto mods.

hey if u really want the thing to look better u should go with a pre 98 trunk lid, and put that stock little wing on it. looks bad ass with the svt kit and all. looks really good, look at worldtour. its badd ass.

The wing just doesnt go with the contour. practically no wing does, not even the stock one. the car is ment to be smooth. and clean cut.

btw u look good in that picture. need to cut todd out tho laugh

Typhoon, I was just wondering if you remembered what you are driving? Thanks for all your harsh comments I didn't pay attention to any of them. I've have seen some notso pretty rides on here too, but I didn't cut them down. If you have nothing better to do than waste your time telling me how awful my car looks then you're a complete loser. Now I'm just being honest!!!!!

Amanda,

Your car looks sweet! I personally don't like the wing, but I bet your Contour gets more attention than mine does. Stick with the aesthetic mods if you want to get noticed. Don't worry if some people don't like them; you will never be able to please everyone.

I applaud you on having the courage to do something different with your Contour than the standard little things people do. You are certainly lucky to have started with an SVT - most of us can only dream of owning one.

Amanda,, if these guys don't like your car consider your goal achieved. You wanted something different in your car and people here generally seem to hate different, so if they hate your car, you must be doing something right. smile

To get your trunk to pop up again just buy some beefier shocks, it will pop up like it used to. I will be affixing a 100lb+ Subwoofer and enclosure to the hatchback of the Focus, I'll be upgrading the shocks as well.
