Not to mention you seemed to do such a great job touting you experience and expertise here on a forum made specfifically for Contours. Why wouldn't he drive to Michigan? and no I wont get out of bed to greet you...if you dont get 24hr service from a Ford dealer why should you expect it from me Terry, you are always expecting us to believe you are better than Ford, right? That is why we would expect you to go that extra 2 steps. I don't think he was asking for you to get up at midnight and pull the tranny, maybe just a greeting. So basically, you are not better than Ford. I'll call you up at home late at night when my software crashes eh..I dont think so!!!!!! I'll tell you what Terry. If a customer comes into my store, spent as much money as your customer did, drove as many miles as yours did, and had the problems that yours did, I damn sure would expect a phone call late at night. And I'd answer it. And I'd get my arse out of bed to answer the phone and see what I could do to ease the pain. And if and when he got there, I'd be waiting, IN PERSON. If I were to go on a UBB specifically made for people that need my services and market myself to those people as not only the end all of that field, but also a lover and enthusiast as well, I'd expect things/situations similar to what you are getting. You reap what you sow. It is how you sow it that matters. And right now, the crop is dying.

Last I heard, the "expected" or "quoted" time was much less than the actual time required for the initial upgrade. Along with a lot of "I'll open it [insert day]" promises that were broken on the most recent repair. I've heard some third hand remarks about why that is so. Nothing I can confirm (so I won't repeat it), but certainly not the most professional attitude if it is true. The customer has you manipulated to do do his dirty work by attacking me,so much for being objective..... As a matter of fact, the customer has specifically requested that nobody post anything on this matter, which is the only reason it took this long for the uproar to occur. For this reason, I won't post in this thread again (tempting as I am sure it will be). But let it be known Terry that this is not Mr. X's doing, nor what he really wanted to happen. I believe he wanted this to come out on his own terms. But while I'm here, let me throw this in: At our last local meet we had some new guys asking about mods. And besides explaining what I know about Mr. X and his situation, we had another CEGer that you pretty much told to "f*** off" when he wanted to throw 4 figures your way for some work because either your pride was hurt or you are just entirely too stubborn when it became known that HMS was not getting another large portion of his project. Must be nice to be in such a good situation where you can turn work down and send a potential customer away to recommend against ever going to your company to anyone who ever asks him. Especially with this other fiasco going on at the same time. Hope that business model works for you.

This is really sad. Really sad. All parties involved need to take this off-line and sort out the dealings and then come back when and post a joint post or something with the agred outcome. I never thought I would see something like this here.

I never thought I would see something like this here. I am going to have to, with the ut-most respect of your opinion, disagree. My trannie has been acting up, and as far as I know Terry is the "end all" of our trannie. I am looking into having him do some work for me (no, i havent contacted him yet) My looking has been soley on this BB. A few things concerned me before all this came out. 1) why I saw no prices of his services. 2) why he wont quote a price and then do it for that price. 3) why when people ask for prices they get the "you have to pay to play" or "if you have to ask, you cant afford it" answers. 4) it just seemed to be too good to be true; a bullet proof transmission. If the work and service that is being performed is not what it is advertised to be, I want to know. On the other hand, if this is an isolated incident and the work done is god-like, I also want to know. With the turbo kit being released, I want to not worry about "Not telling your tranny" (quote from C. Hightower in the F.I. Forums) about all the power it is going to need to handle. I am also very aware that I am 95% in the dark about the incidents of a "stolen DMD" and a bulldox box breaking down, that keeps being referred to; which is why I would like someone to link me to the public posts about these 2 topics. Again, I mean no disrespect to anyone, and I appreciate your answers. -Nick

Thats not what the forums are intended for, duh .... 99blacksesport ... no offense taken, I see your point. At this stage, it's just so depressing to see this carry on going on. Claims, counter claims, accusations .....

I never thought I would see something like this here. Again That's what forums are for.[/b]NO ! This is NOT what this forum is for !!! This is turning into a witch-hunt , and is doing NEITHER party any good . It might be a good read to you , but I think it's gone a bit too far . There are some "issues" that need to be resolved between Terry and that certain customer , but that's between THEM . It doesn't need to turn into a 4-page pi$$ing contest !! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Allen

It's doing everybody good I wouldn't go to this guy for any repairs If he treats his customer's like that, Terry Didn't have to say a word I think the other party Is keeping quiet. Terry Is just digging him self deeper by talking. I wouldn't go to a local mechanic If somebody told me they had problems like this. I'm glad for these forums I read them a lot and don't post often either I know when to keep my mouth shut. This Is what America Is about you fools you can speak what's on your Mind. I think we have to many tree hugger's on this board. This Country Is doomed If we people think a Computer forum Is no place to talk about this.
