So I bought an SCA intake pipe to see what there like, I installed it on the SVT engine I have sitting on my garage floor. Everything connected but towards the botttom of the pipe there is a hole. I can't seem to find the pipe that connects to it. I have looked on CTAMotorsports and spmotorsports and it states on their intake pipes that the SVT has 4 connections, where as the standard V6 has only 3.
Can anyone provide close-up pics of where this 4 pipe comes from and goes too??? Thanks.

Simon, the hole in the pipe is for the IAT sensor. Hope this helps.

It depends, is there not an IAT pipe on a standard V6 (non-svt), On the SCA CAI pipe there are 3 connections at the top of the pipe near the TB, which I have 3 pipes connecting too formthe SVT Engine (the only e pipes I can see also), but towards the bottom of the pipe where the filter attaches, there is a hole. I have looked at the BAT intake pipe, and sure enough it has 4 pipes. So I know that a pipe is supposed to connect to this "hole" but I can't see which one! Driving me nuts! lol.

the iat sensor connects to the hole...and whatever hoses on the svt inlet pipe connect to the top hose connections...
im not an svt owner but i play one on tv
that and the fact that i have an sca pipe sitting in my closet (well in front of me on the desk now) that i cant use because it wont fit with my atx case in the way
if u're trying to fit this pipe to a non svt they only 2 of the hose connections u will use (i think) plus the hole for the iat sensor...in that case 1 of the holes needs to be plugged up

Or am I just reading it wrong.

I don't think it fits as the ATX trans comes up higher in the engine bay then an MTX trans, This doesn't give the room needed for the SCA pipe + filter at the end. Just what I've heard anyway.

Yeah that's the one. I bought it off another CEG'er and it has the rubber ring in it already. So now I just have to "find" the IAT sensor pipe!
Thanks guys.

there is no IAT sensor pipe, you stick the sensor straight into the hole like you stuck it straight in the stock airbox. ive had this intake installed on my car, standard duratec. you just stick the sensor inside that hole.
